I am a San Francisco resident who travels far out of my way to go to see a San Jose dentist. Since I live in the city and rely on public transportation, I don’t even have a car. You might be thinking that it must be really difficult to get to dentist appointments all the way down in San Jose then. You’re right - but it’s worth it.

For a long time, I didn’t go to dentists at all. I knew that I had a myriad of problems with my teeth but I’d had such awful experiences with dentists in the past that I completely avoided going to them unless it was absolutely necessary. I’d seen one too many dentist who caused me unnecessary pain - including a dentist that gave me several fillings that a later dentist eventually told me I hadn’t needed in the first place!

Eventually, though, I came to admit that I needed to get a smile makeover. My teeth were just in such bad shape that concern for the appearance and health of my mouth began to outweigh my fears of going to the dentist. Nevertheless, I looked long and hard for a dentist that didn’t terrify me. I learned about sedation dentistry and looked for a dentist with a history of good reviews in this art. The one I found happened to be in San Jose. I’m satisfied with the results so I’m willing to make that trek!
