I’ve heard a lot of talk lately about Florida villas, and how great they are for a truly unforgettable vacation.  What exactly is a Florida villa?

Basically, a Florida villa is a luxury vacation rental.  No, I’m not talking about a condo or a cabin like what you stay in when you take a ski trip.  Florida villas are typically very high end homes, outfitted to be as luxurious and as convenient for guests as possible.

Villas are also not just someone’s home, being rented out while they are away.  Typically villas are real estate investments that someone has made.  The owners have put a lot of time and money into making these rentals appropriate as luxury vacation accommodations.

Staying at a villa while you are visiting Florida is ideal because of the level of privacy and comfort it offers.  Hotels are not really very private or personal, but a villa gives you the same conveniences of being at home — your home away from home, in a sense.

If you are looking for villas in Florida, probably your best bet is to go through a villa management company.  Sometimes you can find privately rented villas advertised in the newspaper and on community websites, but these just don’t have the same quality assurance you would get from a managed property.

Staying at a luxurious villa is a much better way to spend your vacation than at a busy, impersonal hotel, don’t you think?
