My husband is one of those people who hates Halloween.  Last year we didn’t even give candy to Trick or Treaters, because he didn’t want to be home for it.  It was disappointing to me because I love seeing all the baby and toddler Halloween costumes.

My husband also declines invitations every year to at least one Halloween party.  I haven’t gotten dressed up for Halloween in about eight years, and I would love to be able to do so again!  It would be so much fun to go to a party dressed in couples costumes.  There are some really great adult costumes available these days!

One thing I like about the prospect of dressing up for Halloween as an adult is how many more choices there are.  You don’t even have to stick with the typical store-bought costumes — there are lots of much more interesting costumes to be found online, OR you can comb the thrift stores and put together an original costume of your own design!

Shopping for and making up costumes just sounds like so much fun, I can’t believe my husband isn’t interested.  When I was a kid Halloween was primarily a children’s holiday, but not anymore!
