I had three doctor and two dentist appointments today. Now you must be thinking that I am a really unhealthy guy with some bad teeth, but that is not the case at all! So how could it be then that I would have three doctor appointments and two dentist appointments all in just one day?

I sell insurance. Not insurance for your car or house insurance though. I sell a type specialty disability insurance designed for doctors and dentists. Disability insurance for physicians and dentist disability insurance are not really all that different than the common disability insurance that you may be familiar with. They all cover your income.

However there are some differences which could be noted. For one thing, the very premise of disability insurance is escalated in professions that have higher incomes. After all, that is what disability insurance covers right? Your income is what we are insuring, so if you make a lot, the company takes on higher risks. And since doctors and dentists are typically pretty smart, they can assess the risk for themselves which makes it easy for me to sell my product. So I guess you could say that I’m not scared to go to the doctor or dentist!
