Real Combat: Fake Guns

With all the debate over gun safety going on in the world, it is important to understand why airsoft guns are in fact relatively safe.  The vast majority of people who use a kwa airsoft gun are just as much safety enthusiasts as they are shooting enthusiasts.

Although the safety regulations vary according to the specific conditions and amount of people playing, there are a few staples.  Eye-protection must be worn at all times, shooting at close-range is strictly prohibited and a marshal, or referee, is usually present.  Participants would never point a Tokyo marui at anyone who was not fully dressed for combat.  The game relies on the honor system because the pellets do not leave a painted impression like in paintball.  This honor system also applies in helping out anyone who is hurt, no matter what team they are on.

Connoisseurs would agree that air soft competitors value safety as their top priority.  Although there are no written-in-stone safety rules for the game, there are many that are enforced worldwide.  Most of the rules apply to the safety side of the game but for specific regulations in your area, speak with the organizer of your local team.
